Records and Case Report Forms (CRFs)

  1. How long must the site maintain records?
  2. How do I confirm that CRFs and Pharmacy Records can be destroyed?
1. How long must the site maintain records?

The records are the property of the institution.  Below please find the links to DAIDS Policy on Record Retention, and some tools that can be used in determining how long records should be retained.

2. How do I confirm that CRFs and Pharmacy Records can be destroyed?
Regarding destruction of CRF and Pharmacy records, DAIDS has indicated that the site needs to confirm with their institution whether the site can destroy the records from the protocols listed on the CRF Management tab called "List of protocols having CRF/Pharmacy Records that will not be stored by DAIDS" (http://rsc.tech-res.com/casereportformmanagement/).  The DAIDS RSC does not confirm destruction of any records by sites.
